BarCa Piano Duo is formed by Julia Barreiro and Lorenzo Cattel, two pianists graduated from Milan’s conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi”. In 2016 they lived in Berlin and started playing together and exploring the four-hands piano repertoire. Julia and Lorenzo play both as soloists and in the Duo: amongst other concerts in Germany and Italy, they played for Piano City Milano, Piano City Lecce, Monza Music Week and the alínæ lumr Festival. Their passion for music and art, however, goes beyond the piano itself. Julia works for the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin as Education Manager and is a researcher in musicology. Lorenzo combines his musical education with other forms of artistic and cultural expression, working as dramaturg and performer on different projects which pull together music, writing and theatre.
